Rainwater seepage is one of the valid means to reasonably use and run city rainwater resources and improve ecological environment in cities. In contrast with traditional technical schemes including direct drainage of rainwater in downtown, concentrated collection of rainwater, storage, processing and utilization, it features characteristics of simple technology, deft designing, proneness to construction, convenient operation, low input, significant effects and so on.

Rainwater is permeated to the surrounding soil through permeation channel, porous tube stock or porous rainwater detection well imbedded underground. Its advantages incorporate big coverage area, good permeable capacity and quickened permeation speed by purifying rainwater using soil filtration and filling in graded broken stones around the pipelines. To prevent systematic clogging or decreased permeation capacity, materialization filtration treatment is advised to be carried out in gutter inlet or catchment inspection well so that suspended solid amount entering permeation pipe network can be brought down.


Design Philosophy of Permeation and Drainage Integration System
1.  For rainwater permeation and drainage system, the pipeline diameter and pavement gradient between the first inspection well and the last inspection well should live up to demands of rainwater drainage amount. Elevation of each well point after calculation is the invert elevation of discharging tube of wells.
2.  Payment gradient for permeation tube between wells is advised at between 0.01 and 0.02. Pipe top at the inflow permeation tube should be below the bottom inside the permeation tube;
3.  Space between inspection wells in the permeation and drainage system should not be higher than 150 folds of pipe diameter of permeation tube;
4.  Pipe diameter of the permeation tube is no less than 200 mm in usual case; aperture ratio of plastic permeation tube should be no smaller than 1.5% to 3.0%.
5.  Inspection well in rainwater permeation and drainage system adopts permeation inspection wells or catchment permeation inspection wells with 0.3-meter sand setting in the permeation inspection well.
6.  Overflow well should be set up at the end of the rainwater permeation and drainage system and the overflow water is discharged into rainwater pipelines.

Integration of rainwater permeation and drainage is a valid measure to incept sewage, permeate and reduce emission, which not only allays the pressure imposed on municipal rainwater pipe network, but also displays fine protective effects on greening environment in the park. Rainwater permeation and drainage integration system is to collect rainwater on roof, road and green land to rainwater permeation well through environmental gutter inlet and carry out permeation through rainwater permeation well and rainwater permeation pipelines. Storage and permeation of permeation and drainage integration system can validly bring down the rainwater amount inflowing to municipal rainwater pipe network.
